About the CTO Summer Internship
OCA-GLA would like to thank the Daniel & Jeri Okamoto Floyd Family for their generous sponsorship of the Chiyo Tanaka Okamoto (CTO) Internship. The CTO Internship was launched in 2012 in honor of Chiyo Tanaka Okamoto. She faced much discrimination in her lifetime as an Asian American woman in Wyoming, but emerged to be an inspiration to her daughter, Jeri, as well as many others, through her public service.  This year will be the 20th anniversary of her passing.  Through the CTO Internship, OCA-GLA and the Daniel & Jeri Okamoto Floyd Family hope to encourage the next generation of Asian Pacific American leaders to serve their communities with the same grace and compassion that Chiyo Tanaka Okamoto had.
